GDS II

Circuit Design Artwork Conversion Tool

GDS II In/Out is a bi-directional translator that converts an AutoCAD drawing to a GDS II stream file format, and reads any GDS II stream file into an AutoCAD drawing with easy-to-use dialog box controls. 100% true conversion. The easy to use graphical user interface controls all aspects of GDS II file creation

GDS II Artwork Converter is included in the following Circuit Design Suites:

Key Features Include:

  • Arc Vectorization Length: Controls the length of each vector. The software will make arc replacement vectors as long as possible using either the Arc Vectorization Angle or the Arc Vectorization Length settings
  • Etch Compensation: Sets a negative or positive etch compensation value globally on any individual layer.
  • Automatically removes voids by splitting closed boundaries that have voids into closed boundaries with no voids.
  • Allow Scaled References: It scales a reference when an AutoCAD block is scaled.
  • Make GDS II data from most AutoCAD entities
  • Converts AutoCAD text to paths: Any width may be assigned to the text
  • Arc Vectorization Angle: Controls the angle used in a vector when converting arcs
  • Automatically Create Arrays: Creates arrays where possible in nested hierarchies
  • Allow Rotated References: allows references to be rotated when an AutoCAD block is rotated
  • Saves and loads configuration settings from a file
  • Creates multiple paths if max segment count is exceeded
  • Abbreviates arrays to enable reading large files (substitutes a simple rectangle for all but one cell in the array)
  • Pre-scans GDSII file and allow selective conversion by cell or by layer
  • Show GDS II cell structure in Tree view or sorted alphabetically
  • Option to convert regular polygons to circles.

Input and Output File Formats:

  • Input: .DWG, .GDS
  • Output:.GDS
