Probe Card Technology is a specialized set of tools designed to dramatically reduces layout time over current layout tools through the automation of previously slow and tedious layout functions inherent in the "Automatic Test Equipment" (ATE) PCB layout process. Probe Card Designer tools automate all Probe Card/Interface Card (Space Transformer) designs. Powerful algorithms are used to optimize resource assignments and routing, resulting in layer reduction and a substantial decrease in overall design time and cost of the circuit board and space transformer.
Load Board Technology provides tools to automate the design and documentation of all Device Under Test (DUT) Load Boards. A special system graphically allocates tester resources to DUT pins and layer optimization and reduction cut costs and design time. Netlists are quickly converted or created using powerful wizards. Complex test sockets or BGA patterns are generated quickly through parametric part creation programs. Advanced split ground plane capabilities make creating complex plane boundaries easy. Full ground plane generator adds thermals, reliefs and ties to each plane simultaneously. Fully automatic routing programs allow length tuning using trombone or accordion tuners.
Burn-In Board Technology features hierarchical controls in both schematic and layout to facilitate the design of cell-based board constructions. The system can check the design for electrical continuity at the cell level and at the board level, increasing reliability and lowering costs.
