The SIMLINK ANF™ utility is an add-on module to our Design Suites.
This utility, executed from within CAD Design Software, converts a CDS layout into a *.ANF Neutral File then into a *.SM3 file for use with Ansoft™ analysis products.
CAD Design Software Design Environment
In the CAD Design Software Design Environment, use the Netchk and DRC commands to capture the netlist and check for clearance errors.
Execute the EPD2ANF command from within CAD Design Software and save the output as an Ansoft Neutral File *.ANF.
Maxwell® 3D Environment
The *.ANF Neutral File is read into AnsoftLinks™ then net entities are exported to a *.SM3 file for analysis.
In AnsoftLinks 2.5 environment, select the net entities in the drawing to analyze and then Export to a Solid Model *.SM3.
