Software Feature:
High Speed
Need
to make calculations for resistance, capacitance, inductance,
propagation delay, and line width calculated for a specific
impedance requirement, for each net?
Now
you can!
CAD Design Software's High Speed
software feature makes electrical calculations based on information
in the PCB layout. The following calculations may be made within CAD
Design Software for each net: resistance, capacitance, inductance,
propagation delay, and line width calculated for a specific
impedance requirement. It also performs voltage drop calculations on
each branch of a power net based on the current load at each node
taking the estimated temperature of each layer into account.
High-speed rules set in the schematic and written into the netlist
may be edited before they are read into the EPD-Allegro PCB Router Interface.
High-speed rules in the
schematic database, write the CAD Design Software netlist, feed it
into CAD Design layout software, set or reset in CAD Design layout
software and feed seamlessly into the Cadence Allegro autorouter.
Rules set by the engineer in the schematic will automatically drive
CAD Design layout software or the Cadence Allegro autorouter. Rules
set in the Schematic or CAD Design layout software for direct feed
into Cadence Allegro include maximum crosstalk, maximum length,
minimum length, maximum parallel length, maximum stub length,
Starburst, Daisychain and width. Rules calculated in CAD Design
Software’s High Speed and fed directly into the Cadence Allegro autorouter include width for specific nets and layers
calculated for impedance requirements.
