Software Feature:
Rebuild
Convert unintelligent
drawings or Gerber data to an intelligent
CDS drawings
Finally, a tool to
convert old unintelligent data quickly into fully intelligent EDA
designs. Rebuild features includes an array of powerful commands to quickly and accurately take standard
DXF or AutoCAD
entities and transform them into intelligent blocks for use
in the CDS design environment. By converting to intelligent blocks
and other entities (such as polylines), you can start using CDS
design tools to rebuild your database and utilize the power of CDS
for analysis and checking.
Key
Features Include:
-
Fast Initialization of crude databases from DXF
or Gerber
-
Tool set to handle minute repetitive details of
the rebuild process
-
Read in Gerber or DXF or GDS from any CAD system
and re-Intelligize into EPD layout
-
Work with Arcs or Vectors
-
Unlimited accuracy
-
All AutoCAD commands still available
Command
List:
- Generates a Die Attach pattern block from unintelligent
information
AddPoint -
Adds a node or centerpoint to selected circles and polylines.
ArcVia -
Converts polyline ARCS to intelligent vias.
AutoClose -
Closes open polygons with an arc or straight segments.
Center -
Aligns wide polyline ends to the center of the terminal they are
inside.
CrossVerts -
Adds vertices or adds and breaks vertices on crossing polylines.
DelTear -
Can change the layer assignment of teardrops or delete them from
selected circles.
Ext2Via -
Extends polylines to selected vias.
SBPrepl -
Replaces oval boundaries with a block containing substrate bond pads and pin
numbers.
TaperJoin -
Joins broken tapered polylines with tapers.
TrConv -
Converts polylines to outlines or double lines.
TrUnconv -
Converts parallel 0-width trace edges to multiple stroke wide
polylines.
VectArc -
Converts arc shapes created with multiple vectors into smooth
polyline arcs.
ViaBGA -
Draws traces from vias on a BGA design to the nearest BGA ball.
